Danielle Cozy Cardi

Ah to go back to the days when it was cold, but not too cold. While I do enjoy living in a state that has a taste of all three seasons, fall is definitely my favorite. I am a few months behind in sharing this cozy cardigan, but it’s better late than never! The Danielle Cozy Cardi is, as you would expect, cozy! and a new staple in my closet.

The Pattern

Cozy and cute?! Yep! That’s the Danielle Cozy Cardi! Wear it as loungewear or dress it up to go out!

It really is the perfect oversized cocoon cardigan for every day and every hour!

The pattern is available in Women’s sizes 00-30 and KIDS 2-14!

One thing I would like to point out with this pattern is that it was a bit confusing when first opening as I saw the band, and sleeves in there, but no bodice! While I was confused at first, it is because the bodice is actually a square if you can believe it! The dimensions needed are provided, and it is a simple and fast process to cut the other pieces out. But something to be aware of.

The Fabric

To be quite honest, I don’t actually remember where I got this fabric. It’s one of those pieces that has been in my stash for so long, and I was horrible at keeping track for a little while. I’m sure I received it in a mystery bundle. It is a very soft sweater knit that looks like a triblend.

For this pattern, you really want to use fabric that has some good stretch. Sweater knit, dbp, french terry, and any others with a good stretch will work great with this pattern.

Get the look and Final Thoughts

I love how easy this pattern was to construct. It is made up of really only 3 pieces which results in a VERY quick sew. I finished my garment in around 20 minutes because of how few seams there are! It also truely feels like youre wearing a hug.
